From my last post you can see that Mr. Max aka Mighty Max was born at 35 weeks. He was pretty darn perfect when he was born but he was whisked away to the NICU for further evaluation. I wanted to give the parents time to take it all in that they just had this precious little darling and that he needed some extra help so I left them and came back a few days later for a Fresh 48 photography session. During this time I just photographed them in their room. Those first few days can be so exhausting to the parents. When I came back for his session he was eating and mommy was resting. Daddy was so happy the entire time. I loved working with Kirsis and Darren. I could feel so much love between them for each other and for their family. Kirsis is such a beautiful woman not only in looks but in her personality. And Max was the most adorable little guy I ever held. He was so into his daddy at their newborn session.
A Fresh 48 session is a session that is usually done in the first couple of days of life. Sometimes the family wants the birth type of photos but feels like a birth session isn’t what they really want. The Fresh 48 session is a way to get those first photos of baby when they have had time to regulate their temperature a little, get used to life outside of the womb even if only for a day. They are a little alert so eye contact with parents is so exciting. Be prepared to be bombed with a beautiful Fresh 48 session.
